This project is the result of a close working and collaborative process between us, as professionals, and our clients, who shared with us their vision and sensitivity towards the architecture and design of their home. It is a house conceived for a Mallorcan family that values, just like us, the use of local materials and respect for the island’s traditional construction methods. From the beginning, our goal was to create a space that not only met the functional needs of the family but also captured the essence and character of Mallorca.
The marés stone, so representative of local architecture, became a central element in the design. Its texture and color naturally integrate into the surroundings, evoking the beauty of the Mallorcan land and adding a unique warmth to each space. The cobblestone patios serve a dual purpose: they not only connect the interior and exterior of the home but also act as places for gathering and relaxation, providing ventilation and natural light that flows throughout the spaces. Additionally, we worked closely with local companies who, with their dedication and skill, created exclusive pieces that enrich the project’s aesthetics and strengthen the connection with local culture.
Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure this home reflects not only the lifestyle of its inhabitants but also respect for the environment and Mallorcan traditions. In conclusion, this project combines the functionality of a contemporary home with the rich heritage of local materials and craftsmanship, resulting in a home that stands out for its unique, authentic character deeply rooted in the island.
